Does anyone know how many countries there are in the World?

I thought of this question now and wanted to ask you...How many countries are in the world... It's a difficult question because like the Cypriot problem, Turkey identifies the FAKE northern republic of Cyprus but ALL the others don't. Also with Taiwan, China and USA don't identify it! So what is the exact number of countries in the world?
