Wiimote Cabinet: I Want One

A Go Nintendo reader by the name of Craig has one hell of a dad. After all, it takes a great dad to build a sweet looking Wiimote cabinet like this. I'm no carpenter but it doesn't look all that difficult to make from a design perspective. You could probably find something similar in your local furniture store. However, the detail work on the front is done quite well. I would love to have one of these in my apartment. It probably won't be all that popular with the ladies, but then again nerdy stuff never is. So who really gives a damn.

Man Marries Dog

A 33-year-old man in Sivaganga district of Tamil Nadu has married a dog in a bid to ward off the "curse" of a canine couple he had killed 15 years ago.

Selva Kumar tied a 'mangal sutra' on the animal, petnamed Selvi, at a Ganesh temple in Manamadurai, about 50 km from, on Sunday.

Kumar, who vowed to protect Selvi all through its life, said he married the animal as per the advice of an astrologer. "I will take care if it till its death."

According to him, he had clubbed to death a dog-couple when they were mating and hung them on a tree when he was 18-years old.

After that incident, he suffered a stroke, he could not move his left arm and legs and turned deaf, Kumar said. "I am able to walk only with the help of a stick, he said.

Tutankhamun's Face Unveiled in Public for First Time

Egypt put the mummy of the boy pharaoh Tutankhamun on display in his tomb in the Valley of the Kings on Sunday, giving visitors their first chance to see the face of a ruler who died more than 3,000 years ago.

In the dimly lit burial chamber workmen removed the gilded lid of Tutankhamun's mummy case and then hoisted the padded box containing the mummy out of the stone sarcophagus where it has lain for most of the time since Tutankhamun's early death.

They then moved it to a climate-controlled acrylic glass showcase in the tomb's antechamber and sealed the cover. His wizened face is visible at one end, a white linen cloth covers his body and his blackened feet protrude at the other end.

The mummy's face has high cheekbones and cracked and blackened skin with an intact nose.

The mummy will be visible to the general public from Monday.

Woman takes out ad to sell breast milk

A woman who doesn't want her breast milk to go to waste has taken out a newspaper ad in hopes of selling it. Martha Heller, 22, of Tiffin, took out the ad in The Gazette, offering 100 ounces of her breast milk for $200 or the best offer.

Heller said her freezer is overflowing with breast milk that she has pumped since August. Her 4-month-old daughter won't drink from a bottle and the supply is piling up.

Heller now donates to the University of Iowa's Mother's Milk Bank, but the 100 ounces of milk she wants to sell was pumped before going through the screening process for the bank and cannot be donated.

Everything you wanted to know - and much, much more - about your cats and dogs

This is a cool article that tells us facts about our dogs and cats.

One of them is:

Dogs have 42 teeth. Cats only have 30. The make-up of their mouths reflects their different dietary habits. At the front of the mouth, both have six incisors and two canines, used primarily for ripping. At the back of the mouth, however, dogs have more molars and premolars. These are used chiefly for crushing plants, roots, vegetables and bone, which cats don't eat.

The Woman with Odd Hair

Ms. Mau’s hair lies like a python on her shoulders. When she dropped it down, the hair swept the ground. Looking from behind, the hair looks like a small papoose, swinging after each move of the woman.

For the past 17 years, Phung Thi Mau in Chua village, Van Thang commune, Ba Vi district, northern province of Ha Tay, has carried hair of 5kg in weight and more than 1.5m in length.

She has planned to cut it several times but each time she planned to do that, her head began to hurt painfully, like someone tightened a rope around her head.

The odd story about this hair commenced on the night of December 15, 1990 (lunar calendar). That night, she couldn’t sleep well.

In the morning on the next day, she combed her hair normally but it was strange because it was no longer smooth as before. It was very tangled. The more combing, the more tangled the hair was. The comb’s teeth were broken after her try to comb the hair. Ms. Mau used another comb but the situation was the same. She found that her hair was stuck together for a section of around 22cm long. In the morning on the next day, all of her hair was stuck together and she couldn’t disentangle it anymore.

When the hair began to clot, Ms. Mau always heard a crackling sound from her hair, which was sometimes low and sometimes high, depending on her health.

She still washes her hair on her own. However, each time of washing the special hair, Mau needs several hours to struggle with it, with one hour to make it clean and one-two hours to make it dry, using a large electric fan.
